Overview

Located in the heart of Tampa’s bustling E Hillsborough Avenue corridor, 3 Guys Caribbean Restaurant offers an authentic taste of Haitian cuisine that feels both vibrant and homey. This modest eatery, known for its straightforward yet flavorful dishes, brings the rich culinary traditions of the Caribbean to a diverse local audience seeking genuine ethnic flavors.

The restaurant’s main dishes stand out, particularly the Fried Snapper served with classic Rice and Beans, a staple that delivers a perfect balance of crispy texture and savory softness. For those who crave something heartier, the Oxtail Dinner is a tender, slow-cooked masterpiece packed with deeply layered spices and rich, satisfying flavors. An interesting nod to authentic Haitian fare is the inclusion of Mustard, which brings an unexpected but delightful zest that complements the menu’s offerings.

3 Guys Caribbean Restaurant thrives on a concept of fresh, made-to-order meals. This approach ensures each plate contains vibrant, lively flavors born from traditional seasonings and well-honed recipes passed down through generations. The kitchen opens up a window into Caribbean culture with dishes like TOMTOM with Fufu and spicy okra soup infused with meat and crab, as well as the Fritay Kabrit, a selection of fried goat paired with plantains and vegetable fritters — each dish crafted with care to evoke the island’s spirited culinary identity.

Complementing the main dishes, their all-day drinks offer unique Caribbean-inspired options such as Soursop and Papaya juices, refreshing choices that mesh well with the bold flavors of the food. Traditional sides like Macaroni Au Gratin and stews based on jute leaves and beef (Lalo) showcase the blend of comfort and cultural significance woven throughout the menu.

In terms of space and atmosphere, 3 Guys Caribbean Restaurant leans toward a no-frills, takeout-friendly setting rather than an elaborate dine-in experience. Reviews highlight the convenience for locals, especially those living nearby, appreciating the genuine taste even if communication can sometimes be a challenge due to language barriers. The straightforward service model—pointing at dishes to order—adds to the down-to-earth charm; it’s better suited for those hunting for great Haitian food without the fuss or hype.

While customers praise the freshness and seasoning of the meals, a few minor points arise around amenities, such as an out-of-service restroom and occasional ordering mishaps. Yet, the warmth and quality shine through, making this a destination for anyone eager to explore Caribbean cuisine in Tampa’s diverse culinary landscape. With its spirited menu, authentic preparation, and focus on traditional Haitian flavors, 3 Guys Caribbean Restaurant appeals especially to those who appreciate cultural authenticity and hearty, comforting dishes in a casual setting.

Great food! Cooked fresh to order. Customer service was okay. The only bad thing is the restroom is "out of order". Great experience will be back

Place is really close to home so that's convenient. Good food. Best for takeout, not eating in. They don't speak much English so point to tell them what you want and they'll take care of you. I ordered the vegetable tray, since I'm not eating meat right now. It was seasoned to perfection and perfectly crispy brown. I didn't miss meat at all.
